Adam Kimball Roberts Mission to Philippines Quezon City Mission

yeah so im being transfered which is makes me pretty sad ive really come to love the people in this area and will miss them a ton! to explain how i feel right now ill tell a story that i found in this book that my companion stole from one of his companions ok so once upon a time this old man was walking on this beach and then he sees this little boy thowing starfish into the ocean so the old man is like "hey little boy what are you doing?" and the little boy is like "shut up old man mind your own business!" nah just kidding hes like "these strafish have all washed up on the shore and will die if they dont get back in the ocean" so the old man is like "there are so many starfish on this beach! theres no way you can save all of them whats the point of throwing them at all? you arent making any difference!" so then the little boy runs picks up the nearest starfish throws it into the ocean turns back to the old man and says "i made a difference

yeah so some pretty awesome things went down this week most importantly we got a Family Baptized! it was so beast especially because 2 weeks ago  they were way not down and so we were trying to figure out what was stopping them because they said they loved going to church they loved when we came over they believed everything we taught so we were like so why dont you want to get baptized? eventually they told us it was because they were shy and that they didnt want to get up infront of people and bear their testimony (they had gone to Darryls baptism and saw him bear his testimony) so we were like oh thats the problem?? Yo dont stress we will make sure you dont have to get up infront of people even after this we still were only planning on two of them getting baptized because the other two were still not down but its ok because the nanay and one of the daughters were pumped! but then a miracle happened our RC nanay emma who refered this family and like all her friends and neighbors to u

Things are going good we got to go on exchanges with foreign missionaries from the MTC and mine was from New Zealand and he didn't speak any Tagalog but he was like 6'5" so I just went finding with him because being two white giants in the Philippines we found a ton of people and all day I have people like "Wow you are so good at Tagalog! How did you learn to speak Fluently??"and I was just like actually "I'm from the Philippines I'm just an albino." and they are like "Ohhhh ok that makes sense." I usually said like "Nah I'm just kidding!" but yeah they bought it which was cool. But here's the thing that comes at the cost of me speaking Tagalog I freaking suck at speaking English! Like while i was on exchanges with the New Zealander we just spoke English because that's all this dude speaks and I was having soooo much trouble understanding him! Like he has an accent which made it hard but I know I still would'
