Binyagggggggg! (Baptism)



Yeah so as the title suggests I got to baptize two people this week! It was awesome! 

 One was a 13 year old girl named Mickhail and the other is a 65 year old woman named Helen.

 I just love how different both of these people are. Mikhail lives in a super nice house and her parents are super rich and Nanay Helen lives really an average Filippino life so she's really poor and has to raise 3 of her grandchildren but here's the beautiful thing about the gospel. Where you come from, who you are, how much money you have, how old you are, what you do DOESN'T MATTER! You are always welcome with open arms and boy am I glad I got to help bring these two into the church. I had 4 baptisms before this but these are my first conversions. I contacted both of these people on splits and taught the first 3 lessons on splits! I had no idea how much joy the gospel brings till I saw these two people transform their lives and prepare for baptism!  



Bagong area 

Yeah so I'm in a new area now! It's called Merikina its like the most Developed part of the mission some people call it AMerikina because its so nice it could actually be in America well "Wala akong pakialam dian" I'm not pumped. (Translation: I do not care for it)

People here in Malaya are so nice and humble and apparently the people in Merikina are super rich and prideful. Well I'm apprehensive but I also know the rich prideful need the gospel too. So they had best watch out cuz I'm about to bring it to em! I will really miss Malaya it has has kinda become my home but its ok God has got something for me to do in Merikina and I guess I won't run away and live in the jungle... probably. 

But yeah I'm excited, in my area there are actual restaurants and the internet there is supposedly fast as lightning so I guess the picture drought has ended!!! 

Anyways things are going good here!

The Problem OK so I was preferring to have no one know this but this story is pretty funny so I'll just tell you.  Both the toenails on my big toes decided to go into all out rebellion and tried to dig for gold in their designated toes. it didn't start out that bad. What caused it is since it's the rainy season right now I've been wearing these airtight water proof rubber shoes and they are nice for keeping water out but they are pretty tight so it caused the little chitin monsters down stairs to go on strike. Which was just kinda painful. But then they went into all out rebellion when I decided to listen to their painful objections, and wore my normal shoes. Temple November 5, 2018

Hey, we went to the temple today so I'll be sending pictures in a minute but other than that just get ready for some pretty cool things to happen over the next 3 weeks Dec 11, 2017 Dear Adam, Thinking about your sweet letter today about going on Splits and your realization that Jesus Christ is always your companion. Thought about several scriptures that reminded me of your experience. First was 2 Nephi 4: 35 especially “I know that God will give liberally to him that asketh. Yea, my God will give me, if I ask not amiss” Love your testimony that he truly provided abundantly in your time of need. Pig Latin

Things are going good here Pig Latin: This happened a while ago but everyone thinks it's funny when I tell it so I'll just tell it to you. Pig Latin  OK so a little while ago I was talking to a lady and she told me she spoke 5 languages!!!  Mandarin, Tagalog, English, Spanish, and Ilongo and then said like "So you ONLY speak English and Tagalog right?"  I was thinking like lady I don't even speak Tagalog but alright... so jokingly " I say nah I know Pig Latin." And then I like chuckle and dead serious she's like "Wow that's so cool. So many Americans just know English. Where is that spoken?" ...  Me getting more uncomfortable.
